Jules N Dans cet opus le boogeyman est démystifié et perd donc un certain côté sombre. Cet opus propose bien des mises à mort originale et plutôt bien faite dans leur mise en scène mais ce point positif est contrebalancé par le manque de profondeur des personnages ainsi que le manque de tension dans ces scènes. De plus la fin est plutôt décevante puisqu'elle est en décalage avec le profil psychologique du tueur qui est plutôt mal amené. Rated 1.5/5 Stars • Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 04/25/24 Full Review Elvis D Ahora con Rob Tarpert a cargo de la producción, esta secuela de Boogeyman deriva de su predecesora, siendo un slasher donde un asesino usa la imagen del Boogeyman y la fobia de sus víctimas como armas asesinas. Como en la película anterior, aquí también se utiliza el miedo al Boogeyman y el trauma de la infancia. Eso se ve muy reflejado en la protagonista, Laura. La película también mantiene una de las características del Boogeyman que es usar los más profundos miedos de sus víctimas para atormentarlas. Además, aquí juega un poco con que el Boogeyman es solo un producto psicológico del miedo que el ser humano tiene, pero cuando llega la revelación de quien es el asesino, eso parece dejar abierta la posibilidad de que el miedo que el Boogeyman genera en sus víctimas puede también provocar locura. Eso hace que el Boogeyman sea una figura que puede trascender en distintas formar y no solo como un ente sobrenatural, sino también como alguien de carne y hueso que puede cometer atrocidades con tal de infundir terror en las personas. Esta secuela acaba presentando un concepto más filosófico y psicológico del Boogeyman dando a entender que es más que un ente mítico. Puede ser una persona que comete atrocidades inspirando terror en los demás y en ese aspecto, el Boogeyman si es real. Como secuela, puede ser una película poco convincente por desligarse de su predecesora, pero es una película que igual logra expandir más el concepto del Boogeyman mostrando que es mucho más que un cuento para asustar a los niños. This was an awesome movie. The main issue I had with this movie is that in the first movie it was the actual boogeyman. In this movie it's an actual person pretending to be the boogeyman. This checks off all the horror movie cliche boxes, some in a good way, with some decent gore and nudity, but also checks off the annoying ones where characters do ridiculously out of character things considering they're all afraid of something. Watchable but not memorable.
