Elle Brooke defended her middleweight title against Jenny Savage in the main event of Misfits Boxing 18 in Newcastle
Elle Brooke edged out Jenny Savage to hold on to her middleweight title in Newcastle.
Brooke started the better in the fight and her early advantage proved to be enough as she held off a late fightback from Savage. On the undercard, Kelz KO'd Big Tobz with a stunning right hand in the third round before Idris Virgo made short work of Fes Batista, reaching the final of the light-heavyweight tournament where he edged out Benson Henderson in a controversial fight after the ex-UFC star had beaten Chris Avila in the semi-final.
There was also a huge announcement as Slim and Gib faced off after the announcement that they have finally agreed to fight after five years of trading verbal jabs. Re-cap all the action below...

Brooke resumes her attack to the body and then switches upstairs to land a left hook. Another one rocks Savage but the challenger takes it well. That same shot causes more problems as Brooke looks to close the show. But Savage retaliates to show she's still in the fight.

Henderson takes the fight to Virgo and is starting to catch the unbeaten boxer. Henderson's straight left has been his money shot in this round as he attempts to turn the tide heading into the final session.

Virgo lands with both hands early in the round as Henderson claims the second shot was to the back of his head. Virgo attempts to swing for the fences as he becomes frustrated with Henderson holding on in the clinch. Henderson is taking everything Virgo is throwing.

PIttman continues to take Poca's shots well as she comes out swinging at the start of the final two-minute session. Poca still looks fresh and navigates her way to the final bell.

Pittman is still swinging and lands a left hand which seems to simply provoke Poca who answers back. Poca lands a one-two as we head to the final round and somehow Pittman is still standing.

Poca is relentless and we need a finish if just to bring an end to KSI's commentary. Pittman is happy just to cling on at this stage as she hugs her way through another round.

Poca picks up from where she left off and launches a barrage on Pittman who ultimately takes a knee in the corner. She just beats the count but there's not much fight left in her surely. Poca lands a brilliant right hand but Pittman stands up to it. A left lands, then a right, this is one-way traffic. The round ends 20 seconds early...

Poca not hanging around as she launches into her combinations from the first bell. Pittman is a former bare-knuckle fighter so should at least have some idea about what she's doing. She does manage to land a right hand but Poca looks the more comfortable.

Someone get True Geordie a tissue... CraCra gets the nod after five rounds as the judges award him the fight by scores of 48-47, 49-46 and 48-47.

Knight may well need a stoppage in this, the fifth and final round, and he comes out with exactly that mindset. CraCra is happy to take the shots and answer back with single shots. A good finish by Knight but it's unlikely to be enough. Worth seeing CraCra win just to see True Geordie's face.

Knight lands a right hand but can't follow up and CraCra answers back with the same shot. Knight finally lets his hands go and lands a flurry halfway through the round. We head into the final round with CraCra surely in the lead, despite True Geordie's best efforts.

CraCra happy to pop out single punches and get on his bike. True Geordie is not happy in the commentary booth but not sure when he last fought? Last time I checked the sport was about hitting and not getting hit. CraCra lands a one-two as Knight continutes to cut a frustrated figure.
