Not to steal the thread, but any good LL/RR both sweetcorn varieties I should try? All of my corn this year will by LL&RR tolerant and I may use Ignite/Cheetah to spray around the edges with the 4Wheeler and I thought it'd be nice to have a LL sweet corn too TNalfalfa

I believe that SV9010SA is the number that is a bicolor alternative to Obsession. Yes it very good !!
If you like just yellow and not bi-color .. Passion is a good one . lawfarms

Seedway has the sweet corn your looking for but it's all yellow.

No conventional varities in the test plots?

We've been bigger fans of 9010 over Obsession II. Tried 9014 this year and it was good, but I liked Obsession and 9010 better. maninblack

SV9010SA is the same as Obsession but with rust tolerance from what I was told by the folks at Earl May. I think it is some of the best stuff out there and the neighbors that get some to can say the same.

I have planted the sv9010sa for the last 2 years. I am very happy with it. It is bicolor. My family and neighbors all agree it is probably the sweetest variety we have ever had. It likes heavier soils, it is not very drought tolerant. It is a little late for our area, usually isn't ready until september but provides a nice late season corn. lawfarms

Good fertility seems to work until the late plantings.

I had some in the August harvest and told customers strait up about it and gave them 13 ears instead of 12 and they were more then happy. They perfered Nongmo and not sprayed all the time corn.

Syngenta came out with them attribute 2 sweetcorn that are both liberty and roundup. The three are named Remedy Aprie, and Milkyway. Remedy is a 82 day bicolor quad stack version of serendipity or providence. Aspire is the quad stack of honey select. Lastly Milkyway is the quad stack of avalon. These corn will be good eating but remember they are synergistic type sweet corns. If you like that corn flavor it will be great. The Obsession II and sv9010 are Sh's and will have A high sugar flavor with little corn flavor. Let me know if you have any other questions. Illini Fan

Planted Serendipity, Honey Select (yellow), and Avalon last year. It was the first year for Avalon and it was the only one no one cared for. Serendipity has been our favorite bi-color and Honey Select is still the best yellow.

If you have never tried it Anthem2 from Rupp is a fantastic variety. Was very good for us this past year. Will be a big part of our plantings for 17. My2cents

If you want a high sugar flavor look at anthem II or sv9010. If you like the more traditional flavor look at Remedy. What have you planted in the past? Duane in ND

BC0805 has been the best for me over the years. Had one customer claim once - she said cobs were to long to fit into her pot - I told her to support the local economy and buy a bigger pot.

Silver Queen for years. Afraid to plant anything else as everyone seems in the family loves it.
But this year would love to add something bt and that holds on a little longer.
